About Alpha Omega Christian Fellowship

Alpha Omega Christian Fellowship is a community of students, of both Christians and those who are unsure about their faith, at UNC and NC State who seek God's transformation our lives, in our cultures, in our community, on the campuses of UNC and NC State, and in the world. We believe that our lives and this world are not the way God intended. But Jesus Christ came to give us a way, the freedom, and the power to make the world and our lives the way God intended.

Regular events coordinated during the year are:

  • AO meets in small groups weekly on both UNC and NC State's campus on various nights. Go to the UNC and NC State tabs to learn more about small groups.
  • We meet each Friday in Large Group Meetings as a whole fellowship to discuss faith and its relevancy at UNC and NC State. It is also our chance to worship God all together.

If you are interested in any of these events or would like to help coordinate them, please contact us! And if you do not find a home at Alpha Omega, please let us know if we can help you find a home somewhere else.

The home church of Alpha Omega Christian Fellowship is Raleigh Chinese Christian Church (RCCC). AO organizes rides every Sunday to RCCC for Sunday service from both campuses. It is not mandatory for AO members to attend RCCC. We believe that attending church is an integral part of a Christian’s walk with Christ and we will gladly help you find a church if you do not wish to attend service at RCCC.

Our Mission Statement and Vision for the 2011-2012 School Year:

  • Our mission statement: We seek to share in the lives of those near us, inviting them into community to enjoy genuine relationship centered on pursuing Christ.

The mission of Alpha Omega reflects our purpose and motivation in everything we do. The purpose of Alpha Omega Christian Fellowship is to establish and advance the witnessing communities of students who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University

Doctrinal Basis:

We believe in…

…the only true God, the almighty Creator of all things, existing eternally in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - full of love and glory.

…the unique divine inspiration, entire trustworthiness, and authority of the Bible.

…the value and dignity of all people: created in God's image to live in love and holiness, but alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt, and justly subject to God's wrath.

…Jesus Christ, fully human and fully divine, who lived as a perfect example, who assumed the judgment due sinners by dying in our place, and who was bodily raised from the dead and ascended as Savior and Lord.

…justification by God's grace to all who repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

…the indwelling presence and transforming power of the Holy Spirit, who gives to all believers a new life and a new calling to obedient service.

…the unity of all believers in Jesus Christ, manifest in worshipping and witnessing churches making disciples throughout the world.

…the victorious reign and future personal return of Jesus Christ, who will judge all people with justice and mercy, giving over the unrepentant to eternal condemnation but receiving the redeemed into eternal life.

To God be glory forever.

Thank you and God bless!
